Join us for the ISCEBS Tampa Chapter's first program of 2020, "Self-insured Health Plan? A Risky Business Without Claim Data Analytics" on Thursday, March 12th, at Maggiano's at Westshore Plaza in Tampa.
This event is a dinner and discussion about utilizing claim data analytics to better manage health care and health plans. As a pioneer in healthcare analytics, Jeff Gasser, Co-founder and CEO of Deerwalk, Inc., will provide a brief history of healthcare data analytics, and then share his insights on how employers can use analytics to reduce risk and costs while improving the quality of care utilized within the health plan.
To assist Jeff with a few case studies, Dan Ross, Founder & President of Med-Vision, LLC & Med-View, LLC, will illustrate examples of the type of data that can be extrapolated from analytics, and how local employers are using this information for health plan improvements.

Jeff has been with Deerwalk since 2010 and is a co-founder of the company. Previously, he served as the company's President, where he focused on business development and customer service. Before that, he was a co-founder and Chief Development Officer of D2Hawkeye, Inc., which also served the healthcare analytics space. It was at D2Hawkeye that he met Rudra Pandey, Deerwalk's Executive Chairman. Previously, he was the co-founder of companies in executive relocation, pediatric home health care, and medical group management. Jeff has almost 40 years of diversified health care experience. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tampa and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Dan is the founder & president of Med-Vision, LLC. With more than 30 years of experience in the employee benefits industry, Dan is experienced in a wide variety of employer self-funded health plan data elements. Med-Vision serves employer health-plan sponsors as a thought leader in the emerging area of plan specific, actionable, health plan data utilizing predictive risk modeling, quality gap compliance and corresponding wellness strategies. Dan’s prior experience includes consulting for Hilb Rogal & Hobbs (HRH). Preceding his consulting experience, he spent eighteen years in various management and sales roles for CIGNA Group Insurance.
Dan is a certified Health Rosetta Advisor and a partner member of MD Resources. He is a graduate of Kentucky Military Institute and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
