The ISCEBS Tampa Bay Chapter continues to bring value to its membership through programs that support the benefits and HR professionals in the community!
Please join the ISCEBS Tampa Bay Chapter for an in person meeting on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The chapter will provide hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Included is a presentation by Andrew W. McLaughlin, Esq, an attorney at Stearns Weaver Miller. Join us for an interactive session to learn more about the recent lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson alleging Johnson & Johnson failed to prudently select service providers for its health plans causing its participants to pay excessive fees. While such claims are common in the retirement plan context, the Johnson & Johnson case is one of the first lawsuits to raise such claims against a health plan. During this session, we will discuss the allegations as well as ways to limit the risk of such a claim. We look forward to seeing you there! Presenter:Andrew W. McLaughlin assists clients in a variety of employee benefits matters including their 401(k) plans, ESOPs, health benefits, executive compensation, Code Section 409A, and other matters arising under ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, and similar laws. Andrew has successfully assisted clients in resolving matters involving the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
Andrew also assists clients in labor and employment matters. He represents private, public and non-profit employers in labor, employment discrimination, restrictive covenant, minimum wage/overtime, employment contract, and employee benefits related litigation. Andy has an L.L.M. in Taxation and a Certificate in Employee Benefits.
